Jewellery Care

Our jewellery is carefully handmade from a variety of materials including Sterling Silver, Gold Vermeil (18ct gold plated sterling silver), solid 9ct or 18ct gold and precious and semi-precious stones.

Please treat your piece of jewellery with care to ensure a long life.

STORE CAREFULLY

Store your jewellery pieces individually so they don’t scratch, keep your chains fastened so they don’t become tangled and close hoop earrings. Silver and gold vermeil jewellery will naturally tarnish and oxidise with time and wear. Storing your jewellery in a sealed plastic bag will keep out the air that causes oxidation.

WEARING

We advise not to swim, or shower while wearing gold vermeil jewellery, and remove rings when washing your hands. Chlorine, salt water, shower products, perfume, hairspray, lotions and deodorant can tarnish your jewellery (especially gold vermeil) and make them look dull. Avoid sleeping in pieces as they will have increased wear and pressure.

CLEANING YOUR PIECES

You can clean your jewellery with a soft, non-abrasive cloth - this will bring back shine to your pieces and rub light oxide off. - Contact us to request your own polishing cloth.

GOLD VERMEIL

We plate sterling silver jewellery with high micron hard gold plating. Gold plating is a surface layer and will wear over time. Earrings and necklaces tend to get less wear than rings. We offer an affordable re-plating service to our customers. Please enquire at the store.

REPAIRS

We want you to enjoy wearing your pieces of jewellery for as long as possible. If your jewellery gets damaged or broken, in many cases we are able to repair it. Please enquire at the store or via email.
